To Bike Lane, or not to Bike Lane

Baltimore Brew has some very interesting opinions on the disappearing bike lane near Penn station on St Paul street.They propose several interesting ways to reroute traffic to create safer passage for bikes, pedestrians and motor vehicles.

As a frequent commuter through midtown--and parts beyond--I'd like to add my two cents. Here it is: how about people in cars paying attention to the road, or at least, having respect for others around them for a start?
